Early Treatment
As parents, we all want to give our kids the best start—including when it comes to their smiles. That’s why the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) recommends that children have their first orthodontic checkup by age 7. At this stage, we can identify potential problems like crowding, bite/jaw alignment, and airway concerns to determine if early treatment would be beneficial.
Early intervention can help guide jaw development, promote a healthy airway, and prevent more complex issues down the road. Not every child needs early treatment, but if they do, addressing it at the right time can have a huge impact on your child's oral health and self confidence. If indicated, early treatment also makes future care easier and more effective. We know there’s a lot of misinformation out there, so we’re here to be honest and guide you every step of the way!
